Road to Nowhere

A Memoir by Corwin T. Watson

Statistics show the cycles of abusive and corrosive behaviors, like merry-go-rounds, persist from generation to generation. But it takes the courage of one individual to stop history from repeating itself. Will you be that one? In his powerful memoir, Corwin Watson reveals his painful journey from a life filled with despair to a life full of purpose.

As a trained soldier in the military, who served in Afghanistan, and a civilian Police Officer, Corwin dealt with the most dangerous and turbulent situations one can imagine. But his professional life didn’t come close to the traumas he faced personally. Throughout this story, Corwin details his most devastating moments. He reveals how his mother gave him up as a teen to be a ward of the state, how he suffered brutal beatings at the hands of his stepfather, and the constant deprivation of food and affection. His environment incited his life-long struggles
with depression, aggressive tendencies, and narcissism—rendering him damaged and repeating the cycle until he chose to change his life for good.
